Pure Silver Ribbon Conductor from Duelund. Cotton and Oil Dielectric. Controlled Geometry Throughout.

There is no better interconnect cable on the planet. Not at any price. When you examine every material, every geometric decision, every interface in this cable, that conclusion becomes inevitable.

The Silver Ribbon Statement is built on Duelund pure silver ribbon conductor, 99.999% purity, measuring 2.5mm wide by 0.3mm thick. Duelund is the most respected name in passive audio components in the world. Their pure silver ribbon is among the rarest conductor materials in existence, and there are very few interconnects on earth built with it. This is one of them.

Why ribbon geometry matters

Skin effect concentrates higher-frequency current toward the conductor surface. Conductor shape is therefore a primary engineering variable, not an afterthought. A flat ribbon provides substantially greater effective surface area relative to a round conductor of equivalent mass. Current distribution occurs across a broader, more stable conductive plane across the full audio frequency range. Combined with the highest electrical conductivity of any metal used in audio, and a surface oxide that remains conductive unlike copper, the Duelund silver ribbon sets a standard that no other conductor material or geometry can match.

Why this cable does not sound like a typical silver cable

Most pure silver cables trade one set of compromises for another. They resolve high-frequency detail at the cost of tonal weight and midrange density. The geometry and dielectric choices that produce that characteristic are well understood, and they are exactly what the Silver Ribbon Statement was designed to avoid.

The ribbon conductors are spiral-twisted and braided throughout the entire signal path. A third conductor is added and braided with controlled geometry to manage the direction of electrical flow and provide shielding. The spiral twist reduces inductive loop area between signal and return conductors. The braid stabilizes conductor spacing and distributes mechanical stress evenly. The third conductor geometry controls capacitance and provides a defined shielding path. In most cables these variables are incidental outcomes of manufacturing convenience. Here they are controlled as primary engineering parameters.

Insulation

Each conductor is insulated in full cotton with oil impregnation. Cotton-oil has a lower dielectric constant than PTFE and fundamentally different energy storage behavior. Synthetic insulation stores and releases electrical energy as signal voltage changes, introducing reactive delay into the signal path. The cotton-oil structure minimizes this behavior while mechanically stabilizing the assembly. The oil displaces air from the cotton fibers, producing consistent, low-dielectric-constant insulation with natural vibration damping properties. This is the same dielectric philosophy used in Duelund reference passive components and in some of the most respected signal-path designs in the history of audio engineering. Not for historical reasons. Because electrically, it remains the most effective practical solution available.

Connectors and solder

The Silver Ribbon Statement is terminated with WBT reference connectors, the finest connector available in audio, soldered with Mundorf Supreme solder containing 9.5% silver together with gold and copper. Every transition point in a low-level signal path introduces the possibility of resistance variation, mechanical instability, or oxide-related non-linearity. WBT connectors address these variables through precision contact geometry, material quality, controlled 75-ohm impedance, and long-term mechanical stability. The Mundorf Supreme solder maintains conductor and connector material consistency through the joint itself, ensuring the electrical junction does not introduce a dissimilar-metal interface between the silver conductor and the connector contact.

A reference signal path is only as strong as its weakest interface. There are no weak interfaces here.

What this means in your system

When conductor surface behavior, dielectric absorption, electromagnetic interference coupling, and contact interface stability are all controlled at the highest level simultaneously, the signal that reaches your amplification stage is closer to what your source component produced. The low-level information your system is already capable of resolving, the spatial relationships between instruments, the decay of notes into silence, the fine textural differences between recordings, becomes more consistently present rather than partially masked by accumulated interference and reactive loss in the signal path.

No passive cable on earth addresses all of these variables at a higher level than the Silver Ribbon Statement. It is the conclusion that follows from the engineering.
