Counter-Braided Silver Geometry. Cryogenic Connector Treatment. Controlled Conditions at the Power Interface.

There are very few power cables built around fully counter-braided silver-plated OCC conductors with solid silver cryogenically treated connectors.
This is one of them.

The CryoCore Silver was designed to address the variables that matter most at the power interface: conductor surface behavior, electromagnetic field interaction, dielectric stability, and long-term contact consistency under load.

Every conductor geometry, insulation material, and connector treatment exists for one purpose: reducing instability in the electrical conditions under which audio components operate.

This is a power cable engineered at the limit of what passive AC power delivery can achieve.

Conductor Architecture

The CryoCore Silver uses solid OCC copper conductors fully silver-plated throughout for live, neutral, and earth.

Each conductor assembly combines one AWG 18 solid core primary conductor together with 24 additional AWG 26 conductors braided in opposing directions.

The solid core conductor provides the primary current path with stable resistive behavior under load. Unlike conventional stranded conductors, solid core geometry eliminates strand interaction and the contact variability that develops between strands as current demand changes.

The silver-plated surface addresses the frequencies where mains-borne interference becomes most relevant. High-frequency noise concentrates increasingly toward the conductor surface. Silver maintains lower surface resistance and more stable conductive behavior at those frequencies than bare copper. The electrical behavior differences between silver and copper conductors are explained in Silver vs Copper Audio Cable Materials.

These are not secondary variables in power delivery.
They define the electrical environment from which the component power supply operates.

Counter-Braided Geometry

The additional 24 conductors are braided in opposing directions: 12 clockwise and 12 counterclockwise.

When current flows through a conductor it generates a magnetic field around that conductor. In conventional power cable geometries these fields accumulate and radiate outward into the surrounding system environment.

The CryoCore Silver was designed specifically to reduce that effect. Cable geometry determines more than conductor spacing. It also influences electromagnetic interaction, inductive behavior, and field radiation throughout the system environment.

The opposing braid directions create partially opposing electromagnetic fields. The fields generated by each conductor group partially cancel each other, reducing the net electromagnetic field surrounding the cable assembly.

This applies across live, neutral, and earth conductors.

The result is a power cable with lower electromagnetic interaction with nearby signal cables, source components, and amplification stages than conventional geometries of equivalent conductor mass.

Most power cables are designed primarily around current capacity.
The CryoCore Silver was designed around field behavior.

Insulation

All conductors are insulated in PTFE throughout.

PTFE has one of the lowest dielectric constants of any practical insulation material used in precision electrical applications. Lower dielectric absorption reduces capacitive interaction between live, neutral, and earth conductors within the cable assembly.

In a power cable this matters because high-frequency interference from switching supplies and digital components propagates between conductors through capacitive coupling inside the cable itself.

PTFE minimizes that interaction while maintaining stable electrical behavior across temperature variation and long-term operation.

The insulation surrounding a conductor is part of the electrical system.
Not merely protection around it.

Connector Design and Cryogenic Treatment

The connectors are solid silver, cryogenically treated at minus 196 degrees Celsius for 72 hours, housed in aluminium with expanded PTFE dielectric at the contact interface.

Cryogenic treatment reduces internal stresses formed during metal manufacturing and refines the crystal structure of the connector material itself. Grain boundaries become more uniform throughout the connector body and contact surfaces.

The practical consequence is more consistent resistive behavior across the contact interface and greater long-term stability under repeated thermal cycling and load variation.

The 72-hour treatment cycle is deliberate.
It allows full thermal equilibration through the connector structure rather than superficial surface treatment alone.

Expanded PTFE surrounding the contact interface minimizes dielectric interaction at the highest-impedance point in the connection path.

A power interface is only as stable as its contact surfaces.
There are no uncontrolled interfaces here.

What This Means in Your System

Power-related interference enters the system through the same interface responsible for current delivery to the component itself.

Switching power supplies, mains-borne noise, motor interference, and common-mode electrical contamination all exist within the operating environment of the power cable.

The CryoCore Silver addresses the variables that govern how that environment behaves: conductor surface stability, electromagnetic field interaction, dielectric behavior, and contact consistency.

When those variables are well controlled, the component power supply operates under more stable electrical conditions. Low-level information is less frequently masked by power-related interference and dynamic behavior under load becomes more consistent across the system. Signal masking caused by electrical contamination is explored further in Signal Noise Explained: What It Is, Where It Comes From, and Why It Matters.

The degree of change depends on component sensitivity, system resolution, and the quality of the mains environment itself.

The engineering principles do not change.
Only how audible they become.

System Fit

The CryoCore Silver is relevant in systems where power delivery and electrical noise are already becoming limiting variables in overall system behavior.

It is particularly appropriate with high-resolution DACs, streamers, phono stages, valve amplification, and high-current solid-state amplifiers where the operating stability of the power supply has direct influence on overall system performance.

It is designed for listeners who understand that the quality of a system depends not only on the signal path itself, but on the electrical conditions under which the signal path operates.
